First play based applications approved

The first play based applications have recently been approved by the AER. This one was approved after 6 months of deliberations and over 30 documents exchanged. Play based applications gather land use, water use, and spacing all in one approval. These special approvals are more difficult to receive but allow the regulator to ensure all the elements of surface use are tied together. The government expects this exhausting application route to be the wave of the future of regulation in our industry.

Each AER application contains your neighbor's perspective on the exploitation of oil and gas formations. Applications contain more technical data even than SPE papers.
